Kidney #1 lever = PHOSPHORUS restriction (slows progression; renal diets ~double survival).
Protein = controversial: NOT severe restriction — moderate HIGH-QUALITY protein (~35 g/1000 kcal) to keep muscle. "Right protein," not "low protein."
Omega-3 (EPA/DHA) = renoprotective; hydration/moisture key.
Liver: adequate high-quality digestible protein (only restrict if hepatic encephalopathy); smaller frequent meals.

Milk thistle (silymarin) + SAMe = best-supported liver supplements (support, not cure).
